GIBRALTAR 5OTH ANNIVERSARY REUNION OCTOBER 2015

Firstly many thanks go to Pete Link, Harry Ward, Dinky Deeley Mike Emmett & Stuart Mason for collecting

everybody and later taking them back to the airport.  A great deal of hard work went into organising the dinner

at 'Charlies' in Ocean Village. ( For the dinner photos please scroll right on this page  27a, on main menu )

Here i am once more to let you know what a wonderful time we have had here in GIBRALTAR over the last two

weeks.Has most of you may already know on the 3rd of October 2015 we here in Gib arranged a 50th

anniversary reunion of the Worcestershire Regiment
being posted to Gibraltar back in 1965.

Friday the 2nd of October was the official get together which was held at the Cuban bar in Ocean village, here

we got to meet some very old Friends who we had not 'seen for years such as Mac Campbell all the way

from Fiji, Terry Sheppard, Barry Imms, Garry Rodriguez, Kennith Collins, Cliff Taylor, Phillip Hulley,

Joe Humpage and Dave Rickhards., It was so good to meet you all again.


       Then came the  reunion dinner night on Saturday the 3rd of October, witch started with every one

meeting at Charles Bar at 2015hrs , at 2025hrs every one was asked to take there seats for dinner. when

every one had found there seats Harry Ward then asked all to stand for the Regimental march and the

marching in of the Gibraltar branch standard carried by Pete Link, once the regimental march was over a one

minutes silence was held, and the standard was lowered, after this every one took there seats to hear a

speech given by Bob Link were he thanked his brother Peter and Harry Ward for all there hard work in

arranging the dinner night and the reunion, he then went on to tell a few stores and take the mickey out of

his brother, all in good fun. 
             
Then came the reunion dinner, which was enjoyed by every one, after dinner it was all back next door to
 

Charlies Bar where some stayed until three or four in the morning. ( PS Keep an eye on  Nigel Fish webb

I would like to thank Harry and Libby Massam for all

their help to me from the UK end, also for the donation from the Mercian WFRA Legacy fund.
 

I would like to take this opportunity to thank every one that attended the reunion , with out your support

there could be no  Reunion
 

I would like to give a big thank you to HARRY WARD for all his help , Harry was the one who found the

restaurant that gave us such a good dinner at a good price, He was also responsible for collecting the money

as every one got off the plane. I could not have arranged this reunion with out his help.
 

Last of all thank you to Terry Deeley, Mick Emmett, and Stuart Mason for help with the transport of getting
 

every one from and to the Airport. Also to Nigel Fish for taking all the photos.
 

Once again thank you all for your support, hope to see you on June in Worcester.
