When the Branch Bugler had to relinquish his post on health grounds the Branch handed back our Regiment's historic bugle to the Museum and bought for him a Ceremonial Bugle which later Ron took into charge and played at appropriate events, wearing his Bandsman's cape and white gloves which went well with his tall military bearing. Upon our realising the breadth of his interests we made him the Kidderminster WFRA Branch Research Officer and he duly found out items of local military interest which the Branch acted upon whenever possible.
